Antalya holidays are well known for the great clean sandy beaches and hot weather as well as the welcoming locals and interesting history.
However, although many people come to Antalya mainly for the beaches we strongly recommend that you explore further as the city has lots more to offer including but not limited to; scuba diving, paragliding, rafting, sailing, mountain climbing and more. Here in Antalya seeing is believing.
When it comes to History, just like many other popular Turkish cities, the city of Antalya goes back to Greek and Roman times and there are many sites to prove it so for those who enjoy historic architecture and scenery then visit the Kale, the Ottoman citadel which is the nicest part of town made of narrow cobbled alleys, very old timbered houses, stone archways, and stunning private gardens available to view by the public.
The old harbour (Yat Limani) has now been transformed into a marina with modern yachts (some available for rent) and a place which is very nice to spend a evening outdoors, having a meal or a drink next to the sea and with your loved ones.
Antalya is one of the busiest resorts in Turkey if not the busiest and offers a real tourist center. Here you can enjoy great infrastructure, many quality restaurants to suit all tastes, great shopping malls and bazaars, disco's and much more.
There is no time to get bored here as there is so much on offer that you would not know where to start. Remember to check out the timetable for the old harbour where many open air events and concerts are held during the summer season.
